Miguel Guhlin at TCEA has taken on a big topic lately - that of readability on browsers. How do we get our young students to focus on a reading assignment on their Chromebooks when the display is littered with ads? In the article Miguel mentions Safari, Edge, and Firefox. He gives the edge to Edge (sorry), but a big part of the article deals with getting Chrome to cooperate with easier reading for young students, by reviewing some important plugins:
- Reader view
- Beeline Reader
- Just Read
- Easy Reader
Miguel goes on to outline some Firefox browser plug-ins, but Chrome is the central issue here, as Denton ISD relies on Chromebooks more and more each year.
