Google Geography Tools

They say the world is shrinking, but there's a lot to learn about countries and the people in them. How many students can look at the spinning globe in the front of the class? Well, one or two. Fortunately, teachers don't need a spinning globe anymore to conquer geographical illiteracy.

Google offers many tools for students to find their way around the world. Here are five of them that can help teachers in the classroom:

  • Smarty pins
  • Geoguesser
  • Maps from the Top
  • Can You Draw the States?
  • The U.S. State Capitals Map Quiz
